Royal Surf Club

Surf Maroc started a partnership with the Club Royal de Surf Solidaire when we became neighbours with the club at our new venue, Villa Mandala on Banana beach. As main sponsor of the club we have helped them clean the beaches between km 11 and km 14 collecting up to 8 truckloads of rubbish on each occasion. The Surf club provides the best opportunity for children and teenagers from Banana village and the surrounding area to learn to surf and participate in other sports. They also run the most effective beach cleaning operation in the area. 

After providing vehicles for transporting the club to the national competition in Rabat we were stoked when they returned with a gold medal.

Aftas Association

Surf Maroc have been supporting the Aftas association for the last 2 years, helping to provide the school with books, surf equipment and organize their prize giving day. Aftas is a voluntary organisation responsible for a number of projects and activities which has developing education and protecting the environment as their main goals. 

Beach cleans

Surf Maroc in association with Surf Berbere were responsible for cleaning Taghazout beach during the winter months. It was a good start and the beach has been cleaner than it has been for years but we have a long way to go before we reach any truly sustainable solutions.

Association de Peche

Beach clean & surf competition- Surf Maroc sponsored a local kids’ surf competition in Taghazout in January. The day was a mix of food and fun and with a big beach clean-up. A massive turn out of over 200 made it a day to remember.

Recylcling

Surf Maroc are proud to be one of the first business in the area to begin recycling. From May 2010 we have began recycling plastic, glass and paper at all our locations.
